6 Secrets to Living a Fruitful Life by C. Peter Wagner. I am always running down inside information on living a godly, fruitful life. I didn’t find it here.

A

Address Unknown by Kressman Taylor. A German and a Jew living in America trade letters before the Second World War in this disturbing and prescient short novel.

Angel Oak, Charleston, South Carolina. High recommendation to make this lonely drive to visit this majestic tree. Yes. It’s a tree. Just a tree.

B

The Blue, by Nancy Bileau. Good history or a bad Dickens’ novel…you decide.

A Brief History if the Druids by Peter Ellis. It is not brief, nor is it readable. It’s a big fat academic tome written by a historian to another historian who the writer appears have one big fat tome of a beef with. Pass.

Breaking and Entering by Jeremy Smith. The story of Alien, the hacker, the MIT troublemaker, et. al. Read to understand the road my daughter in running down.

Bumblebee In the Basement.  A poem by James Silas Rogers.

C

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. I’ve watched all the episodes. I’m kind of a car guy – make mine a Saab – but this makes me want to understand comedy. Hosted by Mr. Jerry Seinfeld.

Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. I read this as a ‘great, very weird Halloween book’ and it was…very weird. But once the weird wore off, it was just another book. To me, at least.

H

How to Live with Joy, Chris Stephanick and Word on Fire. Recommendation.

The Jerusalem Bible. A roundabout review. Kind of. Either way, it’s the best of the bunch in my ever so humble opinion.

K

Kingdom Race Theology for While American Christians by Tony Evans. I have do doubt that lots of people can pick this apart, but I enjoyed Evans take of the issue.

Sex on Earth by Jules Howard. A short romp through non-human sex lives.

Shosha by Isaac Bashevis Singer. I’ve read the book half a dozen times, and have tried five times to name my daughter Shosha. A wonderful book.

T

Thinking Inside the Box by Adrienne Raphel. The development of the crossword, its history, cool stuff, and how to write them. I liked the history, but am admittedly an addict..

The Weight. A poem by Linda Greg. Putatively about horses…

What Makes Olga Run by Bruce Grierson. Olga hired a track coach in her 70s. By 90 she set records in almost every event. Why? How?
